Current Management Profile
Sri Govind Hari, has in last eight years focused on promoting quality eye care as an affordable service in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Pushpagiri Vitreo Retina Institute, a super-specialty eye care hospital in Secunderabad, a National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) certified Hospital, and Pushpagiri Healthcare Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., a super specialty eye care hospital in Viziangaram.
The institute and its affiliate have till date conducted over 1000 school screening camps, 1700 comprehensive eye camps, 250 specialty eye camps for diabetes and glaucoma, screening over 200,000 school children and over 500,000 adults in last seven years. The institutes have till date performed over 100,000 surgeries with over 52 % free cases. The Hospitals focuses on Vitreo Retinal Services, Glaucoma Services, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Diabetic Retinopathy, Modern Cataract Surgery and Comprehensive ophthalmology. The hospital conducts eye camps for school children, comprehensive community eye camps for various strata of society like general public, organized employees, disadvantaged in society, tribal population and patients who are diabetic and those who have Glaucoma.

Eye Bank Association of India (EBAI) is a national not for profit organization acting as a resource center for all eye banks and organizations involved in the eye donation movement. The main objectives of EBAI are to increase collection of eyes, introduce uniform standards in eye banks all over the country and to educate public about eye donation and prevention of corneal blindness. There has been a significant rise in the eye donation and the public sensatisation though still inadequate is progressing well.
